Voter Registration and Upcoming Elections Update

The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced that the voter registration process for individuals who have turned 18 will take place from September 12 to October 2, 2023. This registration will be available at all 268 district offices nationwide. Alongside, individuals can also opt to replace their voter's ID card for a fee of GHC10. The EC shared this information during a press conference called 'Let the Citizen Know' in Accra.

Jean Mensa, the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, explained that this registration aims to include Ghanaians who turned 18 since the last registration in 2020 and those over 18 who couldn't register in 2020. The voter's registration will be conducted across all 268 district offices from September 12 to October 2.

Additionally, the District Level Assembly Elections (DLE) are scheduled for December 19, 2023. These elections will cover all 6,272 electoral areas except for Nkoranza North and South in the Bono region, which will hold elections in 2025
