WITHDRAWAL OF SERVICES DUE TO FAILURE OF THE GOVERNMENT TO COMPLY WITH THE NATIONAL LABOUR COMMISSION'S ARBITRAL AWARD ORDERS
Following several efforts by leadership of CETAG to impress on our employer to comply with the Arbitral Award Orders issued by the National Labour Commission (NLC) on 2nd May, 2023, the National Delegates Conference of CETAG, has at its meeting held from Sunday, 30th to Monday. 31 July, 2023, resolved that effective Tuesday, 1" August, 2023, ALL TUTORS of the 46 public colleges of education in Ghana are to withdraw teaching and related services until our employer has complied with all the ORDERS of the NLC.
The demands of CETAG are as follows:
1. Full payment of seven months' arrears of allowances accruing from the approved conditions of service owed members per the NLC's Arbitral Award Order.
2. Paymert of one-month salary to each member as compensation for additional duty performed in the year 2022, as ordered by NLC.
3. Publication of the report of the Staff Audit and subsequent extension of public univers ties' rates of allowances to deserving members of CETAG per the NLC's Arbitral Award Order.
4. Immediate release of leave roster by each college of education to enable each tutor take fifteen (15) working days leave for the year 2022 as ordered by the NLC.
5. Unconditional cancellation of the "killer" all-year-round academic calendar effective 2023/2024 academic year.
It is expected that every Branch Association shall act on this resolution with dispatch and comply accordingly.
