PROPOSALS FOR CHANGE OF UNION NAME
The Coalition of Concerned Teachers Ghana (CCT GI) was borne out of the spontaneous reaction that occurred during the implementation of the Single Spine Salary Structure (SSSS) in 2010/2011 where teachers were short changed. As a result, Teachers all over the country embarked on nationwide demonstrations and industrial action with each group using the name 'Concern Teachers' out of which the name 'COALITION OF CONCERNED TEACHERS GHANA (CCT GH) was birthed when the aggrieved teachers decided to form a new Union.
It has become prudent in recent times that the name of the Union, COALITION OF CONCERNED TEACHERS GHANA (CCT GH) be changed to one that would be accepted by all both Nationally and Internationally.
The National Executive Council (NEC) thus at its 41" meeting formed a committee with a mandate to solicit for possible names that could replace the name "COALITION OF CONCERNED TEACHERS GHANA (CCT GH)'.
