Update on Sensitization of National Standardized Test

According to Kofi Asare of Eduwatch, GES Regional Offices have now received the results of 2021 National Standardized Test conducted for basic 4 pupils and are currently sorting them into districts for dispatch.

However, the NST for 2022 is slated to be written 15th December which encompasses Basis 2 and 4 pupils.

It has been almost a year since the first test was writen but there's no evidence of using the outcome to influence any critical decision in the schools.  Hon Jerry Akporhor of ITN is of the view that,

"If the National Standardized Test is not informing any critical decision, it should be scrapped so that we stop wasting our time and the country's resources."
