A two days workshop was organised at university of Energy and Natural Resources (UNER), aiming to find antidote to the current fight Ghana is battling, galamsy.
This workshop featured some higher dignities across the country, few are Hon Abu Jinapo minister for Land and Natural Resources, member of Parliament for Ahafo Ano South, Hon. Francis Manu, member of Parliament for Abuakwa south and many others.
Chiefs of the Bono house of chief were also invited to the occasion. A representative of the Bono house of Chief made it a point blank that politicians are behind the galamsy business currently trending, he added the members of Parliament have the huge monies to buy the equipment for the activity, which a mere person may not be able to afford. The chief was very particular in his speech, he later said when someone is caught in the activity they always fear mentioning names of the big men involved, when the person is made to face the law, calls may be coming from unknown persons pleading and threatening. We always spent millions of cedis organising workshops and deploying military men to sites but it result to no avail.
Also, the members of Parliament know the big men who are involve in this activity, they cannot pretend, so why always blaming and pretending? He asked. They are all aware water bodies are destroyed yet they pay death ears to the cry of Ghanaians, simply they should put a stop it.
